Marilyn Monroe

Probably the most photogenic woman who ever lived, I wanted to paint Marilyn and have hopefully done her justice! I love the pensive yet innocent expression - it was screaming out to be a portait and I opted to use pastel to achieve a certain softness. I changed the colours and the background to give an interesting quality to the picture, without detracting from her face.
